Our Story

WagnBone Pet Accessories was created with a straightforward mission: design and manufacture pet accessories that owners are proud to use and pets can actually rely on. We manufacture and wholesale to the retail trade, with a focus on building products that perform on shelf and in the field.

South Africa’s pet market is growing fast: 22 million pets, R8 billion annually. But the accessories space has remained largely generic here, and in most markets we have studied. We set out to change that, starting at home and building toward international licensing partnerships.

The People Behind the Brand

Kevin McMagh, Co-Founder

Kevin is co-founder of WagnBone Pet Products, a proudly South African brand dedicated to creating high-quality, retail-ready pet accessories. With a background in commercial insurance, insurance broking, micro-lending, and property development marketing, he brings a strong entrepreneurial and market-driven approach to the business. Combining his passion for animals and sport, he helped create FanDog, a unique sports-inspired pet accessory range that allows pet owners to share their love of the game with their pets.

Anthony van Rensburg, Co-Founder

Anthony is co-founder of WagnBone Pet Products and an experienced entrepreneur with a track record across multiple sectors, including pet manufacturing, asset management, accounting, and property development. His previous ownership of a pet manufacturing business provides WagnBone with valuable operational and industry expertise. Anthony’s financial background includes CAIB (SA) accreditation in credit risk, experience in accounting, and a Master’s degree in Finance and Economics. He plays a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, scalability, and global growth ambitions, including the expansion of the FanDog brand into international markets.

FanDog came from a simple observation: sports fans are some of the most loyal consumers in the world, and most of them own pets. Yet nowhere, not in South Africa, not in the UK, not in most major sports markets, can you walk into a store and buy an officially licensed pet accessory for your favourite team. That gap is what FanDog was built to fill.

FanDog is a licensed pet accessories range designed to carry team colours, club logos, and corporate brand identity. Every product is built to showcase partner branding cleanly and durably, at a quality standard that reflects well on both sides.

All brand logos and trademarks depicted in product imagery are used for conceptual illustration purposes only and do not represent existing licensing agreements. FanDog is currently in the licensing application process. No branded products will be manufactured or sold without a formal licensing agreement in place.
